They seemed to have a mind of their own: they had a prize and did not want to part easily with it. By the time they let go, it was dark. Apparently night does arrive at this place, Stephen thought. No Small Worlds Chapter 3Stephen awoke to a large grassland, extensive plains that stretched as far as the eye can see. It reminded Stephen of the African Savannah, but in this case the grass was green. They sky, however, was not the normal blue color. The sky was an assortment of different colors: pink to orange to green and blue, red and white and yellow....as if the sky itself was etched out of different crystals that grew into different shapes and colors. No Small Worlds Chapter 2Stephen Saphira was sitting in an outdoor cafe in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A small vista close by to the uptown area by Duquesne University, one of the three colleges in that area, he was sitting at a cheap plastic table with a mug of hot cocoa steaming. It had been a rough day at college classes for him, his science classes more draining than a bunch of football practices, not that he played. His short brown hair did nothing to hide the fatigue in his hazel eyes, that sat behind a pair of glasses.
